Firm History
The structural consulting firm of Ritchie Engineering, P.C. (RE) was established July 1, 2000 by Mark C. Ritchie. The staff currently includes five engineers, three of whom are registered. The total combined project experience of the firm’s staff exceeds 50 years and over $900 million in construction value.
RE provides professional structural engineering services for building and facility projects to Architects, Owners, and Contractors using computer aided design and drafting technology. The work experience of the RE staff includes both design and construction experience for new construction, renovations/additions, and feasibility studies.
The RE staff is experienced in completing effective designs using all building materials such as steel, concrete, masonry, and timber. RE routinely provides earthquake, wind, superstructure and foundation analysis for new and existing structures. RE has LEED accredited staff to assist in producing a new generation of high performance, sustainable buildings.
RE ensures project success by working closely with clients to clearly define the project goals and objectives during the initial meeting. RE then takes a very detailed approach to complete project tasks by providing intimate involvement and quick response through project completion. This proactive approach to quality assurance reduces the review process and provides a high level of client satisfaction.
The RE philosophy of providing senior level staff dedicated to the project from the initial investigation stage to completion has shown value to the projects on which RE staff has been involved. 95% of RE clients are repeat clients or have been referred by previous clients, which indicates the level of service provided by Ritchie Engineering, P.C.
